22. Super Mario 3D Land

Mario was already a house-hold name by the early 90’s and with the release of Super Mario 3D land, fans were going berserk with this game. The controls were quite fluid,  the visuals and music was quite beautiful. Now the game might not be as challenging or long as the previous Mario games, but that doesn’t diminish the fact that the game is quite a gem.
