With the success of Modern Warfare, the developers knew they were on to something big and decided to make a sequel and despite the controversies, the game was a huge success and garnered many fans all over the world. The story of Modern Warfare was decent enough and even though it left a cliffhanger ending it did manage to create a stir among the fans as to why the game was short.
