Might as well start making arrangements to sell your kidney now.

The annual Steam Summer Sale, a veritable massacre of people’s wallets and money, as great PC games are offered for absurdly low prices, leading to people buying dozens of games, none of which they ever plan on actually playing, will be starting on June 11 this year, according to  Valve’s social networking site in Russia.

The site also notes that the sale ends on June 20, which sounds about right, given that previous sales (summer or otherwise) have all lasted a little more than a week. This, unfortunately, also means that the Steam Sale will run concurrently alongside E3- so get ready to have to focus on the press conferences as well as the latest flash deals that run through the store.

The dates haven’t officially been announced yet, of course, and it is entirely possible that the final dates will be something else, but we have no reason to doubt this source and its report.

Brace yourselves, my friend- summer is coming.
