Deck 13 are best known for Lords of the Fallen, their 2014 take on the Dark Souls formula that failed to truly stand out- but they are back now wit The Surge, which is another take on the Dark Souls formula, but in a fresh, new, science fiction setting, and with multiple mechanical spins and twists to the formula that truly make this game intriguing in its own regard.
The new trailer for the game, that has come out ahead of its launch tomorrow, and which you can see for yourself below, showcases these twists and spins. The game’s combat is shown off in great detail, and Souls enthusiasts will already see how it seems to differ from the genre norms in many, many ways.
