The Wii U Version of Watch Dogs Won’t Receive Any DLC

It's like Ubisoft WANTS this to fail.

The Wii U has had a very bad history with multiplatform games. Assuming that somehow, a multiplatform title doesn’t just skip the option of having a Wii U version to begin with, then the Wii U version is ridiculously hamstrung or at a severe disadvantage in other ways- sometimes, it is missing entire modes, such as co-op or online play. Other times, it simply doesn’t get post launch support in the form of DLC or patches. Then there are those times when the Wii U version is simply delayed, often by months, so that there’s not much of an incentive to get the game on Nintendo’s system.

The Wii U version of Watch Dogs seems to be combining the worst of all worlds. We already knew it was delayed, and its November 21 release date is much later (almost half a year) than its release on literally all other platforms. But now, it seems it will also be the weakest and poorest version for other reasons- it won’t be getting any DLC at all, including the rather interesting looking Bad Blood DLC. This comes from the Watch Dogs Twitter account, so it’s pretty official information.

Damn. Don’t bother buying this on Wii U guys. That is, if any of you were actually holding out for the Wii U version, even after all this time.
