We were quite glad to know that The Wolf Among Us 2 had managed to navigate the turbulence of the past few years and lock in a 2027 release window for a title we’d been yearning for.
Well, there’s even more good news for us all, as early previews of the game have brought nothing but praise. As IGN notes, the title has shifted to Unreal Engine 5, but its iconic comic-book-style graphics are intact. The episodic format is also returning, but we’re going to have the entire story in our hands right off the bat, which should take about 8 to 12 hours to finish.
Bigby’s back, and is hunting a serial killer, while Faye, a detective, is an interesting new addition who doesn’t know that magic is real (yet). There’s a tad more freedom on the exploration front, while cutscenes and animations are reportedly more fluid and slick than they were in the first title.
All in all, things are shaping up pretty well for this one, and we can’t wait to see more of it as the days roll by. The Wolf Among Us 2 is coming to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
