Expansive Worlds and Avalanche Studios’ theHunter: Call of the Wild, their hunting simulation game, is already available on PC- however, they’ve now announced that the game will be heading on over to consoles, too. Specifically, you should be able to play the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.

The console versions of the game are being handled by a separate team dedicated to console development created by developer Expansive Worlds. Expansive Worlds hopes that the game’s exposure to a larger audience via its console release will let it do ‘even more cool stuff long term.’

For now, not much else is known about the console specific release- all we have is a promise that information will be shared soon. However, we can assume that the console release will be kept as close as possible to the largely positively received Steam release of the game. Stay tuned for more information.
