We have the first trailer for Thief–the next installment in the superlative stealth franchise–and it shows Garrett doing what he does and has done in the previous games.
There’s no gameplay here and the trailer itself doesn’t show much, but hey, I think it’s early days and they will reveal more information on the game eventually.
The game is confirmed to be released on the next gen consoles sometime in 2014 and runs on the Unreal Engine 3. Here’s the official description of the game: “There is a rising tide of fear in The City. Hatred saturates every stone and whilst the rich prosper, the less fortunate face misery and repression. Ravaged with sickness and famine, they wait for something to change.
“Into this shadowy world steps Garrett the Master Thief in a first-person adventure featuring intelligent design that allows players to take full control, with freedom to choose how they approach and overcome each challenge and forge their own path through the game.”
