Titanfall Developer Video Highlights Titan Creation and Movement

Harder, stronger, faster, better.

Respawn Entertainment returned to the stage for EA’s press conference at E3 2013. After showcasing gameplay at Microsoft’s conference, CEO Vince Zampella arrived to discuss what went into making the game a compelling shooter.

The difference in scale between the infantry and Titans in the game helps achieve that, with that same difference serving to shake things up. Of course, the Titans themselves are different by being quick and agile enough to take on the spry infantry.

The game has been optimized for locomotion, and this allows players to execute double jumps and wall runs without any problems. The level of polish here is astounding and Respawn wants to lend Titanfall the same kind of polish usually seen in single-player games besides creating a living, breathing world.

We’ll see how well that pans out when Titanfall releases in Spring 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Stay tuned for more at E3’s press conference.
