Titanfall Open Beta May Be A Possibility

Developer hints at the possibility on Twitter.

Titanfall

Titanfall, Respawn Entertainment’s highly anticipated multiplayer shooter due out on Xbox 360, PC, and Xbox One in March, is getting a lot of attention pre-release; now, interest in the title may shoot up even more, as the developers have hinted on Twitter that a public beta for Titanfall may be a possibility.

Of course, the game, which completely lacks a single player mode of any kind, and will be online multiplayer only, will necessarily require servers that aren’t overloaded at launch; otherwise, the game might have a launch as disastrous as SimCity, Diablo III, or Battlefield 4. In such a case, an open public beta might not be such a bad idea after all, as apart from drumming up hype and publicity, it will also let them run server stress tests.

In any case, Titanfall is due out on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC in March of 2014. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.
