Ubisoft has announced that, thanks to some technical problems, updates for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 are being delayed. In a post on Twitter, developer Massive Entertainment revealed that, in the process of creating an update that would fix localisation issues in the game, an error was discovered that brought down the game’s entire build generation system.
In layman’s terms, essentially, the issue is preventing Ubisoft from updating the game at all until the build generation system has been fixed. The studio has revealed that it is currently working on fixing the problems, but until the build generation system is restored, no server or client-side updates are possible.
The studio has stated that it has made good progress over the last 96 hours in restoring critical aspects of the build generation system, and will share a timeline for when the problem will be fixed tomorrow.
Players of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will also be getting some sort of compensation because of these issues, which will be detailed in an update tomorrow.
