9. Half-Life 2 - The Hyper Gravity Gun
Half-Life 2, despite being one of the best narrative driven FPS games ever, had an ending that left many unsatisfied. There are certainly many throwbacks to the conclusion of the original Half-Life that make the epilogue thematically interesting, but it also felt more stale the second time around. Regardless of your views of the ending, the powered up gravity gun you get near the game's end is possibly one of the coolest weapons in a game ever. It definitely made the ending worth it.
