#8. GOLDENEYE 007 (2010)
Bearing the name of the 1997 N64 classic, the Wii’s GoldenEye 007 (2010), later released for the PS3 and the Xbox 360’s as GoldenEye 007: Reloaded was more a re-imagining than a remake. It was also a reimagining of the classic film, telling its story in the more grounded and visceral style of Daniel Craig’s new rebooted Bond movies- while also starring him in the lead role, instead of Pierce Brosnan. The entire shift of the case hurt the story and the storytelling a bit, while the multiplayer ended up feeling somewhat disappointing, but solid stealth and shooting and some really excellent action set pieces still made this a game worth playing- if not nearly as good as the masterpiece that inspired it.
