The Lost Planet Series
Some games delve into the politics and philosophies of how two intelligent species would interact if they came into contact. Lost Planet is not one of those games. It plunks its protagonists down on desolate planets and pits them against hulking alien creatures. They all sport a massive glowing weak point, painting a very clear target on their armored bodies. The focus is primarily on the humans and how they work together to bring down the colossal extraterrestrials. Lost Planet’s aliens aren’t always the most memorable, but they give players excellent incentive to keep moving forward.
