Raiden finally got his own cool moment in Metal Gear Solid 2, and it just happened at the end of the game. You have to fight Solidus on top of a building in the middle of New York City with nothing but a sword. For most of the fight he’s got those octopus arms which can grab you and also fire missiles. But once you stab those off of him, it becomes an old fashioned one on one sword duel.
