Ico and Yorda (Ico)

Always holding each other’s hands, with Ico keeping Yorda out of harm’s way, and the latter trying to help her horned companion in whichever way she can, these two outcasts, who speak different languages but understand each other completely, share the most pure, touching and innocent relationship, with a fiery passion that can keep all other couples or duos at bay. We hope to see an Ico sequel, with more of these two’s relations.

Jenny and Jack (The Darkness)

Jenny and Jackie grew up together in an orphanage and always cared about each other- it was their relationship, their trust and love for each other that made The Darkness stand out from other games in its genre. Interacting with Jenny and seeing these two’s relationship develop and become stronger was made the most bittersweet thing we could have guessed, because Jenny had to die in the end, which made us feel really sad, since we wanted to see these two together some more.

Cloud and Aeris (Final Fantasy VII)

Aeris and Cloud- probably the best love story any Final Fantasy game- heck any game- can ever come up with. As if their relationship wasn’t already brilliantly developed in Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core supported FF7’s story in a huge way. But what made their relationship so memorable was probably the bitter end that it came to, which made us all weep a thousand tears.
