Cyanide’s Call of Cthulhu video game is back at last and delves into the psychological horror players can expect when dealing with Lovecraftian lore. Protagonist Detective Edward Pierce is investigating the death of an artist on Darkwater Island, Boston. As an RPG/investigation title, Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game will also feature stealth mechanics. Many of the horror elements are as you’d expect – bodies that go missing, whales with strange lacerations, a reality that’s quickly becoming unmade and so on. There’s something about the “Great Dreamer” as well. Gee, who could that possibly be? Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game is out later this year for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
