We could talk about the bosses, art style, addictive gameplay and new mechanics such as wall jumping and dashing – not to mention how the game teaches you its mechanics without overtly holding your hand – but really, Mega Man X is the game that introduced Zero. That right there means it wins over 9000 internetz.
