The Max Payne series has always had a dark noire theme to it, and that’s perfectly fine, in fact that theme is what draws me to the game. And of course the game is laden with intense violence and gore. But at the crux of it is Max, a man who is just searching for answers, but takes down anyone who gets in his way. It’s a detective game and if you played the first Max Payne, the revelations in Max Payne 2 is even more intense.
