Guilty Gear XX Accent Core
It might sound like a weird name, but Guilty Gear XX Accent Core changed a lot in terms of fighting games. The game had air-dashes, jump installs, special character specific meters and mechanics, barrier blocking, bursting, dust launching, dust overheads, force breaks, and more. The amount of mobility that it offered on a two dimensional plane was staggering, and it was made even more impressive by the sheer amount of technique required to pull all of it off.
