The character is given tissues at the Gold Saucer
Usually when a player completes a mini game in the game, he or she is expected some sort of prize, like a bonus weapons, points, a level up or many other useful things that would come in handy in the game. But in Final Fantasy VII When you fail to rank in a Gold Saucer mini game, your prize is a pack of tissues which have no purpose in the game. I am not sure what the heck the handkerchiefs are for, but I guess they were made so that the player gets something.
