Broken Age:
The first part of this episodic title is coming in January 2014. This game, coming from Double Fine is an adventure title that has some wonderful talent behind it. Not only is it being developed by one of the greatest point and click adventure developers that exists, but has some wonderful voice talent behind it to boot. Shay, our main character’s voice is being done by Elijah Wood. The game is about a boy who has survived the death of his planet by being put on a spaceship, with an A.I. whose job is to care for and protect him.
Now, Shay is old enough to realize there is something wrong and that the ship has him kept as a prisoner. The quirky art design seems to have a lovely, pop-up book quality to it that we don’t see often in gaming and for the number of people who love the classic, point and click adventure games should really love this. With this being the first game in what we can hopefully expect to be a long line of adventurous episodes should really wet any gamer’s whistle.
