Half Life
Many of you will argue and say that Half Life is a pure action game, to those people I say bull shit. Half Life was a thriller and an action game pure and simple, because the story, the gameplay, the characters were all woven quite intricately to give us a brilliant game that really kept us on our toes. The gameplay of Half Life influenced the design of first-person shooters for years after its release, and it is widely considered to be one of the greatest games of all time.
