THE UBER MECH (MECHASSAULT 2: LONE WOLF)

When it was at its best, the BattleMech franchise was a force to be reckoned with, and MechAssault 2 was definitely one of the best games to come out of this property. And it ended on a high note as well. The final encounter against the Uber Mech isn’t particularly challenging, but it captures what makes this game so good- it has great music, it looks great (at least for a game that came out in 2004), and blasting away at the boss with ridiculously over-the-top weapons is an absolute riot.
