Total War: Warhammer 3 is Getting Chaos Dwarfs on April 13

Creative Assembly has announced that the next major DLC release for Total War: Warhammer 3 will feature the highly-anticipated Chaos Dwarf faction as a playable race. The DLC also got a new trailer.

While footage from the trailer makes use of the game’s own engine, the trailer doesn’t really show what gameplay for the Chaos Dwarf faction will look like. Rather, it gives us a glimpse at the race in general, and an idea of what their armies will look like.

While Dwarfs have been playable in the Total War: Warhammer games since the first release, Chaos Dwarfs will be more than just a reskin. The Chaos-aligned Dwarfs will combine the race’s love of heavy artillery and war machines along with the dark magics of the Chaos Gods.

The announcement comes after narrative lead Andy Hall recently revealed that the studio is working on releasing new DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3. Hall also stated that players should expect new Legendary Heroes and Legendary Lords coming to the game as well.

Total War: Warhammer 3 is available on PC. The Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs DLC is slated for release on April 13.
