Transformers: Devastation

It’s surprising how much hype and anticipation there seems to be around the upcoming Transformers: Devastation, the new brawler based on everyone’s favorite franchise with giant transforming robots battling it out. Then again, that’s what happens when you have a developer as talented as Platinum Games helming development of a game- even a game as otherwise as trite as a licensed tie in becomes something to look forward to.

In this new video, which you can see for yourself below, Platinum Games producer Atsushi Kurooka, director Kenji Saito and Activision producer Robert Conkey explore how Transformers: Devastation combines the exhilarating world of the  Transformers Generations arc with Platinum’s unique style of gameplay. Capturing the look and feel of the iconic robots in disguise meant recreating little details, like each Transformer’s signature metallic sheen. But it also required nailing the lifelike speed and explosive force of their every move, which fits perfectly with Platinum Games’ flair for big gameplay and visuals, and bombastic action.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information on the game.
