Ubisoft likes the Wii, says it is “Big Business”

Games like Just Dance  and the likes are performing really well on the Wii, Ubisoft has claimed. They say it is big business for them. The Wii currently brings in 45% of the revenues for Ubisoft.

“Today, the Wii still is 45 percent of our business,” Guillemot revealed in an interview with Gamasutra.

Just Dance, all those casual games, are selling extremely well. So we are supporting the machine because we believe Nintendo is going to push it to another level. We think Wii U will be successful.”

They also believe that the Wii U has a big chance of being successful, and they will support it a lot.

“We are big believers in the Wii U, on two subjects.

“One is for high-end games, where we’ll be able to do a game for the Wii U, but also for other high-definition machines, but also with specific use of Wii U’s tablet. Two, is we like the Wii U for all the potential of casual games.”

So Ubisoft likes the money from casual games, eh? Good for them. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
