Ubisoft opens a new office in Abu Dhabi

Ubisoft has posted a job description on their official website which reveals that they are going to be opening a new office in Abu Dhabi. The job ad is posted at Gamasutra here, and you can check out what it states below.

The studio currently has a strength of 25 employees however they are aiming to be 100 between 3-5 years from now. Ubisoft Abu Dhabi studio has committed to Ubisoft’s global goal to strive for excellence, its focus is to develop worldwide leading online games as well as enter the online MENA market; all in one.

These requirements are for their office in Abu Dhabi and they want people with the following skills:

Role towards the Art team:

-Participates in building the team of artists
-Is a mentor for the artists and coaches them
-Follows the work of the team and ensure they reach the expected artistic quality


-Supports Game Design and Game Mechanisms with coherent visual choices
-Contributes to the Art pipeline definition
-Is involved in technical decisions


-Participates in controlling the unity of all visual parts: models, atmosphere …
-Set priorities for the quality to be optimized

Research & Marketing:

-Controls marketing assets and influences their quality and adequacy to the artistic vision
-Makes researches on consumers, competition, current trends
-Nourishes the artistic vision by looking for sources of inspiration out of the video game industry

Web design experience is an added advantage.

They also want people who can define the artistic vision and the graphic style and ensures it follows the Creative Direction. Who are the ambassador of the artistic vision towards all job families and the Editorial team, and someone who ensures the communication and understanding of the vision within his/her team.
