Ubisoft spending £4 million to market Assassin’s Creed 3

"The largest amount we have ever committed for an Assassin’s Creed campaign.”

Games like FIFA 13, Halo 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and maybe even Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be dominating the market this holiday season, and while Assassin’s Creed 3 is a very high selling franchise, it might have some trouble selling up to its usual standards, thanks to the competition, despite the fact that it looks incredible.

But Ubisoft is not going to settle for that. The publisher is going to spend “in excess of” £4 million on Assassin’s Creed 3’s marketing campaign. “Assassin’s Creed 3 is the culmination of three years’ hard work from a team which is at the top of its game,” said senior brand manager Matt Benson while speaking with MCV.

“Our spend is in excess of £4m across marketing and trade activity,” he continued, “which is the largest amount we have ever committed for an Assassin’s Creed campaign.”

Assassin’s Creed 3 will release on October 30 for the Xbox 360 and PS3, and will release later in November for the PC and Wii U. Stay tuned for more updates.
