Ubisoft taking a more “sands of time” approach in Forgotten Sands

Jan-Erik Sjovall, the animation director behind POP: The Forgotten Sands stated that Ubisoft’s taking a “Sands of time” approach in The Forgotten Sands.

Sjovall added that although the 2008 Prince of Persia project was an interesting experiment, the forgotten sands shall please the old hardcore fans.

“In this case it was more going back to the old Sands of Time approach,” he stated. “Going back to the normal way of doing things. You have your acrobatics, you have your action sequences, and then you have boss fights where you get tested and where you progress the story.”

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will be hitting shelves this May for the PS3 and Xbox 360, with the PC version releasing in June.
