Ubisoft’s DRM is “too draconian”

Posted By | On 28th, May. 2010

Top analyst Nicholas Lovell, founder of Gamesbrief.com, has told PC Zone that DRM only gives pirates a better experience then the honest consumers as it is “too draconian” he continued saying: “There is no doubt in my mind that pirates now have a better experience than legitimate consumers”.

Nicholas suggested that publishers will “see piracy as the start of a relationship with a future consumer, not theft”.

When he was asked about other ways to make a honest profit he suggested giving ” the whole game away entirely for free, make it small and charge for DLC”,he continued offering to”Slash the marketing budget and rely on pirated copies to spread the word about how good your game is, then charge for additional elements”.
