Ubisoft’s Website Dates Watch Dogs for Wii U for Autumn Release

Way to go, Ubisoft.

Watch Dogs was originally supposed to release last November for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and PC. It was then delayed without any explanation, until it resurfaced earlier this year, with an announced release date for May. There was just one catch- the Wii U version would be delayed, and it would ship after the other versions had already shipped. Ubisoft wouldn’t even commit to a 2014 release date for that version. It’s more or less sending the game out to die.

Well, if Ubisoft’s official web store is accurate, then it might not be as bad, at the very least- it appears that Watch Dogs will be launching on Wii U some time this Fall (or Autumn, for everyone outside of America).

I mean, that will still be death for the Wii U version, especially next to all the other versions of the game, which will be launching to a combined install base of more than 250 million, but at least this plugs the Wii U’s release schedule somewhat? I dunno, I’m reaching here.
