Upcoming Assassin’s Creed game to be set in Brazil?

File this as rumor for now.

Posted By | On 10th, Dec. 2012

We have a very interesting rumor which GameSpot says they have confirmed, and it’s that Assassin’s Creed 4 or the next Assassin’s Creed game could be actually set in Brazil.

Now, they probably won’t jump into a newer location so soon as that would mean releasing a mainline Assassin’s Creed game, and one for 2013 is very unlikely.

Either we will see a spin off set in America again or Ubisoft will actually release a new game with a new location and/or with a new protagonist.

Bertrand Chaverot, managing director for Ubisoft Brazil, told Techtudo that the next game in the series could be set in Brazil. Maybe he was just being optimistic but that looks unlikely here.

Assassin’s Creed 3 featured a Brazil mission with Desmond where you had to do some platforming to find power switch or something like that. I hate Desmond mission, goddammit. Never again.

Take this with a grain of salt for now. Ubisoft will reveal the new game sometime early next year according to its policies of releasing a new AC game every year.
