Valkyria Chronicles 4

Sega has confirmed that the western release of Valkyria Chronicles 4, the upcoming new installment in its long running strategy RPG franchise, and the first one released for consoles since the very first one, will be launching in the west on September 25. It will be coming out simultaneously for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (unlike the Japanese release, where the PS4 version came out first, the Switch version is due to come later this year, and there are no PC and Xbox One versions at all).

Pre-ordering the game will get you the “Launch Edition”, which will come a controller skin featuring the medic dog Ragnarok. The “launch edition” will be available for all three console versions- Xbox One, PS4, and Switch.

September 25 is a good date for the game, and will hopefully give it some breathing room before Red Dead Redemption 2 launches in October. Hopefully, the game does better in the west than it did in Japan, where its performance was relatively disappointing.
