The Switch version holds up surprisingly well in this comparison.

Valkyria Chronicles 4

With the demo for Valkyria Chronicles 4 going live on all platforms today, some kind souls have decided to answer the all important question of just how well (or not) the Switch version of the game, which has so far mostly been missing in action, holds up. Along the way, they have also decided to compare it with the PS4 version of the game for good measure.

In this video from Direct Feed Games, which you can see for yourself below, the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions of the game have been compared. While the PS4 version of the game undoubtedly looks better (as it would, since the PS4 is eight times more powerful than a Switch), the differences are surprisingly minor- the PS4 version is higher resolution, with sharper defined textures and shadows, better foliage, but on the whole, you would be hard pressed to tell them apart, even when they are side by side like that.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 launches on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, on September 25.
