Valorant Mobile Controls Discovered In Beta

Could a mobile version be coming alongside the PC version?

Valorant

Valorant is Riot Games’ attempt to break into the hero shooter business, and based on the early Twitch numbers things are looking pretty good for the game to be a success. The closed beta is running now and people are getting to know the game, and it seems some people have even discovered an interesting oddity through it that could point to a mobile version.

Reddit user Spacixr made an interesting discovery playing the game on his laptop. He put it in tablet mode and not only did the game work, it also had mobile controls. As others pointed out in the comments, apparently icons pointing to some type of mobile release were also discovered a few weeks ago, adding to the mystery.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that the game will be on mobile platforms. It could be leftover from a potential mobile version that got canned. But it wouldn’t be too surprising either considering that Riot Games has a strong mobile presence. Of course, Valorant will have to release on PC first and foremost.
