1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
CD Projekt RED gave us on 2007 one of the best RPGs that gamers had seen. 7 years hence, the third instalment in the series is on its way to blow you away; completely. Following up to Assassins of Kings, The Witcher 3 seeks to conclude Geralt’s gruesome adventure in a seemingly magnificent way. First look at the game tells you a lot, from the fact that Geralt still carries around his two swords alongside the hoard of supernatural powers at his disposal to dispose of monsters and men alike, to the fact that the game doesn’t seem to have lost its widely savoured realistic portrayal of life unlike other RPGs that plop on your screen a big gaudy moral gauge every time you make a choice in the game. As in the previous iteration, the game’s quests promise relevance to the storyline just as they are fun and rewarding while catering to the more mature audience with their gory fights/tortures and display of sexuality. With an insanely humongous world sprawling around you bound to have you gaping at its beauty, grotesque monstrosities seeking your blood with sprightly visuals accompanying them, The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt appears to be the best conclusion a man like Geralt can have. Definitely the most anticipated sequel for us this year.
