Walk a Critical Path with this intriguing project trailer

What is CRITICAL///PATH? Well, to be honest, we’re not entirely sure, although it looks to be an exciting developer-led game design critique project. What we do know for  is that it looks mighty interesting, and worth keeping your eyes peeled for.

Critical Path looks like it could not only be the biggest gathering of some of the best creative minds in gaming history, but an interesting introspection on games as a whole. The wording suggests the project may involve game creators taking incisive looks into their own games, but at the moment that is merely speculation.

Not convinced? Well, maybe you will be once you find out who’s involved: Stig Asmussen, Cliff Bleszinksi, Ian Bogost, Nolan Bushall, David Cage, John Carmack, Jenoava Chen, Denis Dyack, Toby Gard, Richard Garriott, Chris Heckler, Richard Hilleman, Clint Hocking, Todd Howard, Rod Humble, Toru Iwatani, David Jones, Hideo Kojima, Raph Koster, Frank Lantz, Ken Levine, David Littman, Jordan Mechner, Sid Meier, Peter Molyneux, Ray Muzyka, Yoshinori Ono, Rob Pardo, Rhianna Pratchett, Jason Rohrer, Kellee Santiago, Tim Schafer, Warren Spector, Joseph Staten, Will Wright, Susan Wu and Greg Zeschuk. Wow.

As well as this exciting trailer, the Critical Path Project also has a smattering of extended interviews with various participants over on its YouTube channel. That’s all we know thus far, but the Critical Path website states to ‘stay tuned for the dynamic interview archive’.
