Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition

Warframe is one of the most popular games in the world, with its popular loop of grinding for loot, and then using that loot to craft better equipment captivating millions of players worldwide. As a result, having a well playing version of Warframe for a console is always a win.

Naturally, this consideration gives rise to the question of Warframe‘s support for the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X, the more powerful and upgraded PS4 and Xbox One consoles respectively by Sony and Microsoft. When GamingBolt had a chance to talk to Megan Everett, Senior Community Coordinator for Warframe, we decided to ask her for details regarding planned support for both these systems.

Speaking about PS4 Pro support, Everett confirmed that the game already benefits from the enhanced hardware on the system; as a result, for now, the developers don’t have any plan for specific enhancements.

Warframe already offers base PS4 Pro support,” she said. “With the PS4 Pro’s meatier hardware, Warframe naturally runs better currently without our team doing any additional work!”

She also teased what Warframe might achieve on the Xbox One X. “Yes, we have heard of this mysterious Xbox One X,” she teased. “Microsoft’s new system is indeed extremely powerful and we’re looking forward to what it can do!”

It should be interesting to see if Warframe will leverage the additional hardware in the Xbox One X in any specific way. Warframe is out now on the PS4 and Xbox One, in addition to being out on PC.
