Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has 6 classes to choose from and leveling up each one individually to the maximum level of 25 can become quite a chore. This guide will explain the best practices for quickly and efficiently leveling up in Space Marine 2.

PVE: Operations

Once you have progressed through the first few missions of the campaign, you will unlock Operations, which are essentially co-op skirmishes you can embark on with other players. There are 6 Operations to choose from, each with quantities of XP and Requisitions as rewards. There are also 4 distinct difficulty levels to play these Operations on. These Threat Levels are:

  • Minimal: Recommended Level 1
  • Average: Recommended Level 5
  • Substantial: Recommended Level 10
  • Ruthless: Recommended Level 15

Threat: Minimal has a cap of 630 XP per Operation completed, while maximum difficulty Threat: Ruthless will net you 1890 XP for the same. These are guaranteed payouts for being victorious in Operations. Over and above that, there is a bonus 10 XP to be gained for being top scorer in each of any given category, such as Kills or Items Found.

Initially it is best to only play the Threat Level that matches your own Class level as the difficulty is ramped up sharply outside of those limits. For farming purposes, Threat: Substantial offers the smoothest experience once you have surpassed its recommended level of 10, and rewards a very fair 1260 guaranteed XP per victory in addition to bonuses.

As Operation selection itself goes, the best one for farming XP is 02: Decapitation, due to how quick the pace is compared to other Operations. It should be noted that it has a boss to contend with at the end. Since victory is based entirely on getting to the end of the operation, simply rush through as much of the content as possible, evading most of the enemies in the way. This entire mission can be completed in 15 minutes.

PVP: Capture And Control

While PVP has an XP bar of its own, the best game mode for XP farming is Capture and Control. Matches can be breezed through in under 10 minutes, while netting approximately 1500 XP for a win. This is, of course, highly dependent on personal performance during the match, such as kills and assists.

That is how to quickly gain XP and level up in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
