Warriors Orochi 4 Will Have 170 Playable Characters

Japanese release platforms also confirmed.

Koei Tecmo has announced Warriors Orochi 4 in Japan. Famitsu has revealed that the game will hit PlayStation 4 and Switch in the country (if precedence is any indication, then the western release will also add Xbox One and PC SKUs), and that it will have a staggering 170 playable characters- which is the most any game in the series has had yet.

Presumably, the character roster will have a healthy mix of new entrants and returning fan favorites, but more details on that front are a little dim right now. The game also mixes things up by adding Divine Art Actions, a new set of special moves. No additional information is available right now, but more should be coming soon either way.

Fans of the series, and of Koei Tecmo’s action games in general, should greatly enjoy the possibility of the diversity in play styles the new game will offer. For now, we wait for more details.
