We know it’s not going to happen but you have to admit that ARMA 4, if it ever gets announced, will look fantastic on CryEngine. Earlier today a video was posted online by RealTime Immersive Inc, which demonstrates the potential for the simulation of military ships and vehicles by way of the hugely powerful CryEngine. The video gives us a look at a virtual rendering of a US Navy ship developed in Virtual Attain CryEngine.

The video begins with a brief starting menu and then immediately takes inside the vessels control area, where numerous, beautifully rendered personnel are issuing the commands that you have given. Next we head to the jet drive room where we are greeted by an attending officer who the player briefly interacts with in order to fix what appears to be a pressure malfunction.

Next up to the flight deck where we see other air vehicles dropping in and interacting with onboard personnel. There are a variety of ways in which the personnel can interact with the landing vehicles to guide the,

All in all, the CryEngine next gen effect on military style games looks to have enormous potential.

But if you are bored by this idea, why not check out or review for ARMA 3? It looks amazing as it is.
