What Lies Outside The Map Arenas Of Rocket League? A Player Actually Managed To Find Out…

This was a question best left unanswered.

Rocket League

Rocket League has multiple imaginative, themed dome arenas in which its rocket powered cars face off against each other in maniacally gleeful games of car soccer. But often, just beyond those extremely well realized maps, you can see the world beyond, and it looks tantalizing and inviting- surely, there is something beyond the maps and the games in the world of Rocket League? Even in a post apocalyptic society that places a premium on gladiatorial combat, there has to be something else, right?

Right. Redditor UncomfortableNPC managed to break out of the confines of the maps in Rocket League and see the world beyond. You can see what he discovered for yourself by checking out the video below. It’s a terrifying wasteland, a dimensionless void that asks the kind of existential questions that most people would rather not be confronted with. No wonder they spend all their time watching cars play soccer instead.

Rocket League is available right now on the PlayStation 4 and PC; it also launches on the Xbox One later this month.
