The Lord of the Rings Sting Reference
I often found the Dragon Age lore and Lord of the Rings lore to be quite similar, mainly because both have elves, dwarves and other creatures that complement each other quite perfectly. In the Hanged Man, the waitress named Norah makes a comment about how Varric told her, that Hawke found a pair of magical pantaloons in the Deep Roads that glow when darkspawn are near. Now those of you who are familiar with the Lord of the Rings would catch this reference which was directed at the sword Sting, that glows when orcs are close. Additionally, you can find the One True Pantaloons as a random side-quest.
