Nintendo’s motion sensing home console, Wii, has now sold a total of 30 million units in the United States (thanks, Nintendo Everything), in a record time of 45 months, 15 months quicker than the second best selling console in the US.
“More than any other video game system in history, Wii has expanded the world of video games to new audiences,” says Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing.
“This milestone is another reminder that people want fun games they can play with others – all at a value-minded price.”
Wow… 30 freaking million. That’s quite a lot, right? What are your thoughts?
