Wii U Gets Another Firmware Update

But this one is honestly pretty boring and uneventful.

Now that the Wii U has entered its fourth year, and nears replacement already by the mysterious NX that is slated to launch later this year, you wouldn’t be out of your place to imagine that the time for Wii U firmware upgrades was well behind us by now.

But you’d be only half right if you made that assertion- you see, while major firmware upgrades for the Wii U seem to definitely be a thing of the past, it appears as though it’s still getting minor stability ones, which are at least keeping the platform secure from hackers and pirates.

So there’s this new Wii U firmware upgrade. It’s a pretty minor one, that doesn’t seem to add much. This new one only adds “further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.” Sheesh. Don’t even offer us patch notes, Nintendo, why won’t you?
