Wii U graphics on-par or maybe even better than PS3/360 – Sumo Digital

Posted By | On 17th, Aug. 2012

Sumo Digital has revealed to Eurogamer that Wii U is on-par with the PS3 and Xbox 360, or maybe even better. They mentioned this during Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed play session which has exclusive characters for 3DS and the Wii U.

It’s terrible to hear that the Wii U is on-par with current gen consoles, and the developer added an optimistic “maybe even better” to finish his sentence.

It does not look like the Wii U will be a massive leap compared to the HD Twins, which is a bit disappointing but you can expect the console to have a lot of RAM and a powerful GPU.

If exclusive developers can create games from scratch and give a lot of attention to the Wii U then we may have some great looking games on our hands.

One thing is for certain though, this is not a good way to start a new generation when it comes to technical leap, although, the Nintendo first-party franchises always deliver.
