Will EA Be Showing Off Star Wars: Battlefront Next Month?

I sense a great disturbance in The Force.

Star Wars battlefront

Star Wars: Battlefront is due to release later this year (some time alongside Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, actually), but you wouldn’t know it- so far, we have seen absolutely nothing of the game, even though EA claims it is in a state fit to be shown (and has in fact been showing the game off to retail partners with strict NDAs, apparently).

But now, it seems like we may be about to get our first look at the game next month- the Official Star Wars Convention is April 16-19 in California next month, and it aligns with EA’s assertion that they will start showing the game off in Spring 2015 (E3 wouldn’t qualify as ‘spring’).

Star Wars: Battlefront is being worked on by DICE (who will be launching Battlefield: Hardline with Visceral Games later this month), and is due to launch some time later this year. It will apparently be using Frostbite 3 engine, just like a lot of other EA games. Stay tuned.
