Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Guide – All Golden Cicada Shells and Their Locations

Golden Cicada Shells are yet another collectible in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Returning all of them to the NPC at the top of the tallest tower in Mt. Tianzhushan Hidden Village gives you the Ascension achievement. He also gives you the tablet needed for the Well-read achievement.

Without further ado, let’s get started!

All Golden Cicada Shell Locations in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

You can find the Cicadas during the following missions:

Two Chivalrous Heroes

• Defeat Zhuyan and ascend the cliffs.
• You will come across a building, enter it.
• Exit the building and take right to get on a platform and make your way to the rooftop.
• Keep going and take the first left to find the Golden Cicada Shell.

The Demon Fort of the Yellow Heaven

• Find the the shortcut ladder and climb it
• The Cicada is located atop the rooftop within the village.

The Valley of Crying Wraiths

• Wrap up the Battle Flag close to the Changgui and and head to the cliff
• Defeat the Warlock enemy at the top the cliff. You will then come across two bridges.
• Cross the first bridge and drop through the hole inside the second the bridge to get the Cicada.

Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch #1

• Get to the bridge and head downstairs.
• You will come across  prison cell after defeating the Huoshus. Enter it to find the Golden Cicada Shell in the corner.

Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch #2

• Find the courtyard containing the ponds.
• You will find the Golden Cidada is located on a rooftop just above the Battle Flag.

In Search of the Immortal Wizard

• Find the red corruption cave and enter it
• You will spot the Golden Cicada Shell eventually.

Centuries of Glory Burned Away #1

• Start at the second Battle Flag and move towards the center of the street.
• Once you move in that direction, take a left and you will find a Golden Cicada.

Centuries of Glory Burned Away #2

• Go through the hole in the all and interact with the Marking Flag in the water.
• Head to the end of the canal and drop down towards the left.
• You should come across a small a room with the Golden Cicada Shell inside of it.

The Battle of Hulaoguan Pass

• Starting at the Battle Flag and then take a right to reach the battlefield where a Changgui demon is present. Quickly get down to to the chasm and you’ll find the Golden Cicada Shell.

Tyrant’s Final Banquet #1

• You need to reach the second fort after the invasion. You should be able to find the Golden Cicada on a rooftop.

Tyrant’s Final banquet #2

• You need to reach an area guarded by Changgui after defeating the Fengxi and raising the Battle Flag. Here you will find the Golden Cicada Shell at the top of the roof.

Darkness Over the Hanshui River

• Take a right at the start of the mission and then defeat the Shuigui.
• After that head to the shipwreck and drop down below onto a platform which has the shell.

War’s Flames Blaze Fiercely #1

• You need to release the Battle Flag’s corruption and then keep following the path and take the first right. Go ahead and take a right again. You will then see a chest which is being protected by a soldier.
• This chest has the shell.

War’s Flames Blaze Fiercely #2

• Head to the sewers and reach a room with two terracotta soldiers. They are guarding a chest that has the shell. Defeat them to get it.

Lu Bu

• Towards the end of the mission head to the wall overlooking wooden fort, descend it and then head up the stairs.
• You will come across a wooden structure. The shell is behind it.

The Way of the Warrior

• Start at Battle Flag 1 and keep moving forward until you come across a broken branch. You will then need to drop down and go through a stream till you see Zhupolong.
• Defeat it and you’ll find the shell lying nearby.

Decisive Battle of Guandu #1

• Get to the statues. Take the path behind the second one and you will reach a village which has the shell.

Decisive Battle of Guandu #2

• Defeat the boss, and after raising the Battle Flag, drop down behind the Shitieshou.
• This is where you will find the Golden Cicada Shell.

Behold the Glaive of Righteousness #1

• You need to be in an area which is foggy. Keep moving further and you will come across the Changgui.
• Defeat it, climb the ladder behind it and cross bridge. So you will come across a Suanyu. There is a tower nearby
• Climb the tower and you can find the Golden Cicada Shell.

Behold the Glaive of Righteousness #2

• Reach the underground area and keep moving forward. You will eventually come across two terracotta soldiers.
• Ignore them and climb the ladder. Once you make it to the top, you will come across a hole in the ground. Within the hole, there is a ladder. Activate the ladder.
• Now go back upwards and defeat the Houshu.
• The Cicada Shell is located behind the red crystal.

Mt. Tianzhushan Hidden Village

• The last Golden Cicada Shell is located at the base of the village’s tallest tower.
