World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Will Be Released In 2010

Posted By | On 08th, Aug. 2010

It looks like World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will not be delayed into 2011, Activision Blizzard confirmed last night that title title will hit store shelves in 2010.

“We are heading into the strength of our 2010 line-up. For our financial perspective the key drivers of our calendar year 2010 results remain Blizzard StarCraft II, which launched last week, and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, as well as Activision’s Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and Call of Duty: Black Ops, all of which remain on schedule and look great at this point.” said CFO Thomas Tippl during the company’s Q2 2010-2011 fiscal results.

Even though it’s almost certain that the game will be released this year, Blizzarrd CEO Mike Morhaime warned that “As with all Blizzard games though, we won’t release until it’s ready.”

Expect an update as to when the game will actually be released.
